How To Get Involved?
Volunteers generally need to be able to develop positive relationships with young people. We are always keen for volunteers who have skills they can share in music sports or the arts. Opportunities exist to work with young people from 10-19 and can be as diverse as helping to serve tea and toast to organising a 5-a-side football tournament or producing a newsletter. If you have a skill and / or an idea we could help you to develop it. Anyone with web site development skills would be especially welcome. Enquiries to Emma or Tracey on 0161 205 0880 or info@ypacmanchester.org.uk
Mission Statement/Purpose
YPAC aims to share God’s love and concern for the community of Miles Platting and Ancoats by encouraging and supporting the social integration of marginalized young people (aged 10-19); enabling them to increase their skills and self-esteem and become responsible community members.
Charity Profile
YPAC are the youth work branch of the Anglican Churches in Miles Platting and Ancoats and were established in Oct 2006 in response to a community need survey. They work with local young people in an area of very high deprivation and offer them the opportunity to have fun and learn new skills. The Transitions Project supports young people as they move from Primary to secondary school. To see examples of what they do, check out our website at www.ypacmanchester.org.uk
