Mission Statement/Purpose
Powerhouse is a registered charity and a company limited by Guarantee. It was formed on July 2nd 1999, and took possession of our new premises on November 2000. With our new vision for Moss Side, it enables young people to have influence on it's agenda to reflect their own developmental needs. The building design was based on young people's express needs. It acts as a beacon for young people and exemplifies the true spirit of the surrounding community.
Charity Profile
The building houses: • A Multi-purpose hall that can play host large sporting events, conferences and theatrical events. • A Connexions hub for one-stop youth based information and advice from further education and careers to housing. • A Young persons Library & Homework Zone • A Music Project • A Fully Sprung Dance Studio • A Gym • A Dedicated Hair & Beauty training space • A Mental health service for young people aged 16 – 17 • A Youth club
